The Summit Art Festival is a free, outdoor, family-friendly, high-quality fine art event in the heart of historic downtown Lee’s Summit. The Festival is completely managed and run by the volunteer efforts of Summit Art members, Downtown Main Street members, and community volunteers. This is a vibrant town with very active visual and performing art programs presented by Summit Art, the Lee’s Summit Symphony, and The Summit Players. The Missouri Arts Council has designated Lee’s Summit as Missouri’s “Creative Community”.

Expect:

  • Three days of live music, ballet, theater groups and yoga on the streets
  • 90 juried artists drawn from across the Midwest
  • Music will fill the air as you wander from one artist’s booth to another
  • Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the weekend by various street vendors as well as local restaurants
  • An interactive Kid’s Zone for any budding artists to try their hand on an art project of their own
  • The R7 Student Art Pavilion showcasing the artwork of local high school students
  • Got Art Gallery and other area businesses will also be open during the weekend

The fair showcases 150 nationally-recognized artists who love Peoria. Original works of art include jewelry, painting, ceramics, photography, printmaking, mixed media and more. Also expect an interactive Community mural, a Kids Art Festival, and musical performances with our scenic riverfront as a backdrop. Food and wine, exceptional palate-pleasers from some of Peoria's favorites.
