Introducing the Autumn Winter 2018 Jimmy Choo collection
Jimmy Choo Spring 2019 Campaign Takes Us To California
TheJimmy Choo spring/summer 2019 campaignwas set in the warm sun, which is where anyone wearing the brand’s latest footwear and accessories will be. And California would naturally be one of the best options for any photographer hoping for their model to catch some rays. Nadja Bender starred in this campaign, which officially took place in Los Angeles. Photographer Cass Bird shot the model by the pool, wearing the newest and hottest pieces from the latest collection that can be found at , such as the Halley platforms and Vivi sunglasses.
The creative director of Jimmy Choo, Sandra Choi, was at the helm of this operation. And according to an official statement she released, everything appears to have worked exactly the way she wanted it to.
“I wanted the new campaign to illustrate the Jimmy Choo woman and man of today; they have a natural radiance and allure that comes from being confident and self-assured. For the women’s campaign, the imagery captures the modern woman – she’s confident with a laid-back approach to glamour that emanates from her self-assurance and unequivocal personal sense of style,” Choi said.
Choi was trying to evoke feelings of radiance and confidence, so the sun must have been at the root of the entire campaign. A pair of Jimmy Choo’s should only be worn by women who know who they are and what they want – especially with the bright color scheme of the label’s latest collection. Rainbow colored platforms were a highlight from the campaign, especially since they were paired with such a bold blue dress that floated in the wind. In this photo, everything appeared to be effortless; the sun and shadows gave the perfect amount of transparency to the dress.
Other standout pieces on the women’s side of the Jimmy Choo spring 2019 campaign were the Vivi shades, woven sandals, and crossbody bags. In the brief video that was released, it was all about the items, as well as the carefree confidence of Bender as she modeled each piece. She was as radiant as the sun Choi wanted to showcase, so she ultimately achieved a greater balance between the pieces and the personality.
On the men’s side of the ad campaign, the pieces were, of course, significant, but not quite as important as the overall attitude of the model. It may be due to the men’s selection being smaller than the women’s, but in all actuality, it was likely because for many male shoppers, it’s about the attitude they have when they wear something, and if there is an ad showing a handsome, well-dressed model who exudes confidence, that’s the most important thing.
The shoes in the men’s campaign were simple, with splashes of the bright colors in the women’s campaign, so the two tied together easily. Both campaigns were successful in their own ways, and the cohesion only made each one stronger. So the Jimmy Choo client will be ready to dance by the poolside on hot and sunny summer days this season.
